The average real estate price in Orange County has exploded over the past 12 months, from a low point in January 2023. This unprecedented increase has now exceeded the previous high in March 2022.
Above is a chart showing both attached and detached average homes prices rising significantly over the past 12 months, after experiencing a dip in prices from March 2022 to January 2023.
After years of the declining number of new listings in January, 2024 increases slightly past 2023. Due to most sellers having a 3% mortgage, 2023 had an extremely slow start to the year with regards to new listings. Life happens, plans change, and now we see the start to some more movement in the market.
