This Is 2024 - Not 2008

Despite all the talk in the media about comparisons to the 2008 real estate market and recent drops in prices, my own analysis of the data from CRMLS shows that Orange County has actually seen an increase in average price per square foot. Additionally, the inventory in Orange County has reached its lowest level since 2008, with a sharp decrease in active listings. This is in stark contrast to the high volume of active listings around 20,000 in Orange County back in 2008. Despite the overall negative narrative surrounding the current real estate market, it's obvious that Orange County is actually performing quite well.
